Description: Hypnosis comprises an effective set of tools to counter the epidemic of depression in young children. Addressing the comorbidity of anxiety, teaching skills to identify the language and regulation of emotions, evaluating trauma and parental attachment, fostering better sleep, and developing flexibility are key elements in both preventing and treating depression in kids and restoring hope.
This presentation is part of our ongoing NPHTI Webinar series.
With the ongoing need for continuing education in Pediatric Hypnosis for the large cadre of those who have done Workshop training in Pediatric Clinical Hypnosis with NPHTI, our successful Webinar Program continues as a methodology to provide continuing education in Pediatric Hypnosis via virtual Webinar, which we have offered since 2022 due to increased demand for online training. Gaps & needs identified by requests/needs for training in increasingly advanced methodologies of applying pediatric hypnosis skills in common disorders of children and adolescents.
Learning Objectives:
- Identify and describe 3 evidence-based hypnotic approaches to teach flexibility
- Outline three changes that can be made to foster positive social connections that are not screen-based.
- Be able to teach 2 hypnotic strategies to improve quality of sleep.
