The American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH) is unique among organizations for professionals using hypnosis because members must be licensed healthcare workers working within their scope of practice.

As an interdisciplinary organization, ASCH not only provides a classroom to teach you how to use hypnosis as a tool in your practice, it provides you with a community of professionals from different disciplines that helps you grow not only as a practitioner but as a person.

From the classroom to the community, ASCH helps you grow as a practitioner and a person.

The ASCH membership year runs from July 1st through June 30th of the following year. Please note that initial membership applications for membership are peer-reviewed, and therefore can take as little as two weeks to as much as eight weeks, depending upon when the initial application is received.

Please note:  In order to join ASCH, all individuals must first create an account in our portal.  For more information regarding creation of an account, click here.

Training taken at the majority of ASCH Regional and Annual Workshops offers training that is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the American Psychological Association (APA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), and the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Listing on the ASCH Referral Database.  As a Full Member of ASCH, you can choose to be listed on our public referral list of qualified clinical professionals who use hypnosis in their practice.  This list generates thousands of hits by the public each year and can be a beneficial tool in growing the use of hypnosis in your practice.

Discounts on Certification.  The ASCH Certification Program is gaining national recognition as a standard for the practice of hypnosis. In fact, anecdotal evidence suggests that hospitals and third-party payers are beginning to recognize the importance of such standards and view ASCH Certification as a basic requirement for promoting hypnosis as a treatment modality.  As an ASCH Member, you are entitled to a $200 discount off of your initial Certification and $60 off of Certification renewal.

Networking.  Whether you’re catching up with colleagues in person at a meeting or posting a question, membership in ASCH gives you access to a welcoming community of professionals that are eager to help you advance your understanding of hypnosis.

Access to the Membership Directory.  Members of ASCH have the ability to search for and contact their peers, who may not necessarily want their information available to the general public.

Access to Demonstration Videos.  Keeping up with our promise to offer our members high-quality educational material we continue to expand our demonstration video library.  The demonstration videos are contained in the ASCH e-Learning Center and are available at no cost to all ASCH members.
