Dr. Milton Erickson, founding president of the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH), authored the inaugural editorial of the American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis in 1958. Prior to my assumption of editorial duties this past April, throughout its 67-year history, the journal has been guided by eight Editors-in-Chief (EIC), including our most recent EIC, Stephen Lankton, MSW, DAHB, LSCW, FASCH, who recently relinquished his position and assumed the role of Editor-in-Chief, Emeritus. It is my honor and privilege to serve as the ninth EIC of the journal.
