Description: This workshop equips clinicians with advanced hypnotic skills and practical techniques to develop effective treatment plans that actively engage children and adults in addressing medical and psychological challenges.Participants will explore a diverse range of strategies, including the treatment of functional psychophysiologic disorders, uncovering root causes through ideomotor signaling, and preparing patients for surgery and medical procedures. The program also covers integrating hypnosis into pediatric care for physical, emotional, and behavioral concerns, as well as supporting patients with sleep deprivation and nicotine addiction. Time for guided practice is included, along with exploration of the preventive and therapeutic value of laughter and the effective use of humor in hypnosis.
Learning Objectives:
- Utilize hypnosis with children for two common pediatric disorders
- Identify three ways hypnosis can be integrated into the treatment of patients with psychophysiological disorders.
- Describe the seven most common causes of psychosomatic symptoms
