Turning Over the Gavel

President's Message

By Phil Colosimo, PhD,
ASCH Past President

The year has flown by as president. I must admit that the executive board and the membership committee were fruitful in our year serving you. Working alongside our administrative company, we have been able to remain a functional society, profiting for the first time in years.

ASCH needs sturdy leaders who will help us promote our high-quality professional training. It seems we have so many professionals registering for Level I and Level II training that our leaders cannot find enough help to service those enthusiastic clinicians. Now we need your help to energize our society, harnessing those numbers to convert those pursuing certification and advanced training into new members of our society.

We have continued to grow through our continuing educational excellence, student mentorship, and scholarship and grant programs. These programs have been outstanding due to the expertise of talented senior members who also believe that the professional population needs to know about hypnosis in medical and office settings.

How we let professionals know of the educational benefits and knowledge gained by our cross-disciplinary approach for dentists, nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors, physicians, and many other specialists is deeply connected to our ability to stay viable.

I wish the new president and his executive committee much success in moving forward with our society. Thank you to all who served with me this past year. You are a blessing.
