April 1st marked the completion of my first year serving as editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Clinical Hypnosis. A milestone that, fittingly, carries a touch of April Fool’s Day irony, given how swiftly the year passed.
It has been an exceptionally productive year for the journal. We published four quarterly general issues and are in the final stages of producing an upcoming Special Issue: Hypnosis and Women’s Health Across the Lifespan, under the outstanding guest editorship of Dr. Julie Linden. I wish to express my sincere gratitude to Dr. Linden and to our dedicated editorial board members, whose commitment to rigorous peer review — spanning both the general issues and the Special Issue submissions — has been invaluable.
As I enter my second year as editor-in-chief, that same momentum continues. Volume 68 is underway with the publication of its first issue, and a second general issue is scheduled for publication in June. Issues 4 and 5 of Volume 68 are being reserved for the Special Issue, which will feature a minimum of 10 articles, and ideally more, devoted to Hypnosis and Women’s Health Across the Lifespan. I look forward to sharing this important collection with our readership in September and November.
