Advanced Workshop: Hypnosis and Performance Enhancement

Held virtually

Dates: Saturday, September 13, 2025 & Sunday, September 14, 2025 – Each day : 10 – 5pm, 2 15-minute breaks and 30-minute lunch

Description: If you work with people who want to get better at something in their lives – whether your clients are athletes, artists, performers, students, writers,  professionals in the workplace, or those simply trying to achieve work-life balance – you know that mental health challenges can derail performance.  For example, studies show depression affects between 6-34% of high-level athletes, with anxiety and burnout common during transitions, injuries, or high-pressure events. Despite the growing awareness of the importance of mental health, many still struggle to get to the next level of performance no matter what field of play or work. In the spirit of “skills not pills” (see Dr. Michael Yapko) this workshop will provide clinicians who use hypnosis the opportunity to experience several hypnotically informed strategies to draw out the best performance in their clients, whether they perform on stage, the playing field, or in the office. It will provide practical ways to help your clients achieve peak performance, improve your own tennis or pickle ball serve, enhance creativity, and also, tackle mental health challenges in the process.

Dr. Dana Lebo, psychologist, has focused the past two decades of her career on performance and executive coaching, and has helped hundreds of leaders, elite athletes, teams, writers, students and individuals in diverse fields to achieve their optimal levels of functioning while also addressing challenges to their mental health. She will combine organizational/business, coaching, sports and other mind-body psychologies with hypnosis in ways to improve performance, and guide participants through performance enhancement processes they can readily apply in their work.

Join ASCH for this 2-day, 12-hour online workshop on using hypnosis to improve performance.  Day 1 centers on how hypnosis can play a role in performance enhancement, and a practical process is presented that can be applied to improvement in a wide range of performance areas.  Day 2 builds on the concepts of Day 1, exploring with participants some cases, experiential tools, techniques and examples that bring the 3-part performance enhancement process to life. Participants will be able to practice these tools and techniques together.
