Washington, DC – Things to Do
Washington, D.C. offers iconic monuments on the National Mall (Lincoln, WWII, MLK, Washington Monument), world-class (and free) Smithsonian Museums (Natural History, Air & Space, African American History), historic sites like the White House (which is only a few blocks from the conference!) & Capitol, unique neighborhoods (Georgetown, Dupont Circle), and outdoor spots like Rock Creek Park or the Tidal Basin, and specialty museums like the International Spy Museum, with plenty of tours and unique dining experiences available year-round.
The average temperature in Washington DC in March for a typical day range from a high of 53°F (12°C) to a low of 34°F (1°C). The general area may also feel slightly windy. Our conference is also at the beginning of DC’s Cherry Blossom Festival https://nationalcherryblossomfestival.org/ , so you will likely see the beginning of the cherry blossom trees’ blooming!
