The American Society of Clinical Hypnosis Educational and Research Foundation (ASCH-ERF) invites proposals for the 69th Annual Scientific Meeting and Workshops (ASMW 2027).

Preconference Workshops: March 11, 2027
Format: Virtual with an optional in-person gathering in Washington, DC 

2027 Theme

Integrating the Human Element with the Cutting Edge: Hypnosis in the Age of AI, Psychedelics, and Neuroplasticity

ASMW 2027 will explore how clinical hypnosis bridges emerging innovations and timeless therapeutic principles. We welcome proposals that advance the science, practice, and teaching of hypnosis across healthcare, mental health, education, research, and human performance.

Interactive presentations are strongly encouraged, including demonstrations, experiential learning, audience participation, case discussions, and practical skill development.

Presentation Formats

Proposals may be submitted in one of the following formats. Sessions may be offered as either 90-minute or 3-hour presentations. 

Workshop

Interactive skill-building sessions featuring demonstrations, exercises, and participant practice.

Symposium

Multiple presenters examining different aspects of a shared topic or theme.

Panel Discussion

Moderated expert conversations designed to encourage discussion, debate, and audience engagement.

Strong proposals should include a clear theoretical and evidence base, opportunities for participant engagement, and practical applications for clinical practice.

Presenter Information

Registration

Accepted presenters are required to register for either a single day or the full conference. Presenters will receive a discounted registration code. Limited financial assistance may be available. 

Presentation Options

Accepted presenters may participate:

• Virtually
• In person at the optional Washington, DC gathering

Please note that ASCH is unable to cover travel or lodging expenses for in-person participation.
