DESCRIPTION:Register here \nOverview\n\n\nLevel 1 introduces licensed healthcare professionals to the foundational principles and skills of clinical hypnosis. Participants learn how to conduct hypnotic inductions\, deliver therapeutic suggestions\, and begin applying hypnosis ethically and effectively in clinical practice through instruction\, demonstration\, and supervised practice. \nImportant Notes\n\n\nParticipants are expected to attend all days.\nDetailed workshop schedules\, faculty information\, and materials will be available online one–two weeks prior to the start date.\nWorkshop materials will be provided in electronic form only.\nLevel 1 must be completed prior to taking Level 2. These are not combined courses.\nApproximately one week before the workshop\, registered participants will receive a link to a private webpage with handouts and resource materials.\nLevel 1 and Level 2 participants can earn approximately 20-22 CE hours (see accreditation statement at the end of this page)\n\n\nClinical Workshop – Level 1\nThe Level 1 workshop\, the first part of a series of workshops in the certification program for clinical hypnosis\, is intended for licensed health professionals including physicians\, nurses\, psychologists\, dentists\, counselors\, social workers\, and those in related fields. A diverse faculty from a range of health disciplines will teach the principles and process of hypnotic inductions\, suggestions\, and treatment. The workshop is a mix of didactic presentations\, demonstrations\, experiential exercises\, and faculty-led small group practice tailored to the specific needs and learning styles of each participant. At the conclusion of the workshop\, participants will have been taught the basic skills required to utilize clinical hypnosis and begin to apply it to their practice. \nAdvantages\n\nRapidly establish rapport and the hypnotic relationship across developmental ages\nFacilitate change\, ego-strengthen\, and reduce impediments to change\nCost-effective\, collaborative\, person-centered treatment\nEmpower clients and patients to build skills for better health\nLearn a highly creative\, broad-ranging technique for use in integrative medicine\n\nLevel 1 Course Chair  \nLouis Damis\, PhD\, ABPP \nDr. Damis is a Diplomate with the American Board of Professional Psychology\, a Fellow of the American Academy of Clinical Health Psychology\, the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance\, and the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. He is an Assistant Professor at the UCF College of Medicine\, and an ESTI-accredited Ego State Therapist. Dr. Damis is a licensed psychologist with ASCH Consultant Status and Certification in Clinical Hypnosis. He is a Past President of the Florida and Washington DC Societies of Clinical Hypnosis and is currently the President of the ASCH. He has taught hypnosis for over 25 years for the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis\, the Florida Society of Clinical Hypnosis\, and the Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis. Credit card data is not stored after completion.\n\n\nContinuing Education Hours\nFull participation\, completion of pre-test\, post-test\, and daily evaluations are required for a Certificate of Completion.\nLevel 1 20–22 CE hours \n\nChanging Dates\nASCH will honor one registration transfer.
