The characteristics of the secure and three insecure attachment styles will be outlined\, along with the caregiver behaviors that fostered them. The majority of the session will be dedicated to training techniques\, with an emphasis on demonstrations that will be recorded for distribution to participants. The Normative Implicit Clinical Hypnosis approach taught facilitates modification of implicit memory and Internal Working Models that underlie attachment disorders and Complex PTSD.  \nLearning Objectives:   \nEducational Objectives:  \n\nParticipants will be able to describe the three components of the phase-oriented trauma treatment. \n\n\nParticipants will be able to outline two strategies for establishing a neurophysiological substrate for trauma processing and attachment repair. \n\n\nParticipants will be able to describe the importance of prioritizing neglect repair and related implicit memory modification hypnotic strategies. \n\n\nParticipants will be able to describe specific clinical hypnosis strategies for each phase of trauma recovery.

This phase of treatment is often quite complex\, including the development of arousal reduction and anxiety management skills\, internalization of an implicit sense of safety and security\, self-soothing\, control of dissociation\, readiness for assertiveness skills\, improvement in self-regard/esteem\, cognitive modification\, sleep promotion/reduction in nightmares\, and prerequisite skills for trauma processing. The majority of the session will be dedicated to training techniques\, with an emphasis on demonstrations that will be recorded for distribution to participants. The Normative Implicit Clinical Hypnosis approach taught facilitates modification of implicit memory and Internal Working Models that underlie Complex PTSD.
