SUMMARY:Conversing for a Change: The Principles and Practice of Conversational Hypnosis (Dr. David Alter)
DESCRIPTION:Organization: Dr. David Alter  \nWebsite: drdavidalter.com  \nEvent Title: Conversing for a Change: The Principles and Practice of Conversational Hypnosis  \nAgenda:  Conversing_for_a_Change_Webinar_Timing (1) \nDates: 02/20/2026 & 02/21/2026  \nLocation: Virtual  \nCE: 10  \nContact : Dr. David Alter\, drdavidalter@gmail.com  \nDescription: Gestures\, facial expressions\, uttered sounds\, formal words\, full sentences\, and the ideas they convey are all elements of language. Hypnosis utilizes language. However\, hypnosis is not reducible to language and words\, nor can it be optimally expressed through formulaic inductions and suggestions. In this ten-hour online course\, set to run on Friday and Saturday\, February 20 & 21\, 2026\, from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM CST each day\, participants will be exposed to an immersive\, expansive\, and clinically enriching experience as together we explore the underlying principles and practical applications of conversational hypnosis. The course highlights the neuropsychological underpinnings of language\, the utility of emergent potentials as innate client resources\, the role of narrative and evocative storytelling\, and the importance of uncertainty and disorientation as a core context for positive change. The course includes active Q&A time\, in-session demonstrations modeling and utilizing a slew of applied hypnotic practices that can be used in the course of dynamic\, relationally-based hypnotically-oriented conversations with clients.  \nLearning Objectives:   \n\nIdentify six dimensions of language and their relevance to cultivating increased client suggestibility. \nDefine and learn to utilize the eight neuropsychological underpinnings of dynamic and interpersonal conversation as foundations of client change promotion. \nContrast the legacy model of clinical hypnosis (induction\, deeping\, suggestion\, realerting\, and debriefing) with the seven core elements of conversational hypnosis model of interaction that the webinar will feature. \nModel a set of seven practical applications of conversational hypnotic interaction practices. \nPractice utilizing conversational prompts modeled in the webinar with scenarios drawn from participants’ clinical practices during the webinar’s practice sessions. \n\nSpeaker info: David S. SUMMARY:Connecting Creatively in a World of Disconnection: Accessing Ego States Through Creative Expressive Exploration (Lemke Counseling & Consulting)
DESCRIPTION:Organization: Lemke Counseling & Consulting \nWebsite: https://www.wendylemke-psy.com/est-expressive-art \nEvent Title: Connecting Creatively in a World of Disconnection: Accessing Ego States Through Creative Expressive Exploration\, Advanced Workshop \nAgenda:Timed_Agenda_Template \nDate: 11/13/2025 \nLocation: Virtual \nCE: 6 \nContact: Lemke Counseling & Consulting\, Wendy Willberg-Lemke – wendylemkelp@gmail.com \nAbstract: The last couple of years have left the vast majority of people with a sense of turbulence\, insecurity and a dysregulated central nervous system. People in general\, and also helping professionals responsible for maintaining emotional well-being\, are challenged with central nervous systems that feel overwhelmed and dysregulated\, pendulating between overactivation and experiences of collapse. Enabling helping professionals to manage their own central nervous system responses creatively\, empowers them to apply mindsight in order to utilize the ‘gifts’ their clients possess in an ethical manner. As mental wellness practitioners\, the challenge is to render support that initiates containing movement\, in order to explore Ego States\, as a neurophysiological and psychological manifestation of the autonomic nervous system response. Utilising the ‘gifts’ implicit to the symptom presented by the client\, greater compassionate connection is established which enhances the sense of safety and stabilisation. Using the ladder of activation (as described by Deb Dana) different degrees of activation will be explored and ideas shared as to how connection between the energy parts can be established through a variety of expressive arts activities requiring low skill high sensitivity. This workshop will therefore make use of Expressive Arts applied therapeutically\, referring to art creation\, sound and voice\, movement/dance\, creative writing/poetry\, and playfulness as a bottom-up approach within various contexts such as psychotherapy and counselling (Malchiodi\, 2005). \nLearning Objectives: \n\nUtilize breathing through creative engagement to bring awareness to the body.\nCreate a sense of safety to enable containment in the face of activation using sensory awareness through connection with the external and internal world.\nEngage with bodily sensations related to the ladder of activation for self- and co-regulation.\nExplore Ego States in relation to autonomic nervous system (ANS) activation and dysregulation.\nDemonstrate expressive movement for grounding\, stabilization\, and inter- and intrapersonal connection.\n\nSpeaker Info: Elzette Fritz is a registered Educational Psychologist in private practice and supervisor in the Department of Educational Psychology\, at the University of Johannesburg\, South Africa. She was the coordinator for the Masters Educational psychology programme with lecturing responsibilities in therapeutic interventions and counselling skills in the Department of Educational psychology\, University of Johannesburg\, for nine years. Elzette was a part-time lecturer at the South African College for Applied Psychology. She is a fellow director of MEISA (Milton Ericksonian Institute of South Africa) that provides training to professionals in Ericksonian hypnotherapy and Ego State therapy and previous president of SAPSAC (South African Professional Society for the Abuse of Children). She is an international accredited Ego States therapist\, trainer and supervisor. Elzette has been trained through the Milton Ericksonian Institute of South Africa in Ericksonian and Ego States psychotherapeutic approaches and she is passionate about creative expressive arts in psychotherapy\, acknowledging somatic experiences. Elzette completed an Expressive Arts Coaching course presented by Markus Alexander\, PhD\, Founder of Expressive Arts Without Borders and Director of World Arts Organization\, during 2023. She has presented at international and national conferences on the utilization of Ericksonian principles in conjunction with Ego States therapy\, especially utilizing creative expressive arts in psychotherapy. SUMMARY:Hypnosis for Trauma III: Integration and Self-Development (Integrative Health Psychology\, PA)
DESCRIPTION:Organization: Integrative Health Psychology\, PA \nWebsite: www.LouisDamisPhD.com  \nEvent Title: Hypnosis for Trauma III: Integration and Self-Development  \nAgenda:  Agenda_Hypnosis_for_Trauma_III_Damis \nDates: 09/28/2025 \nLocation: Virtual \nCE: 5 \nSpeaker & Contact: Louis Damis\, Ph.D. DrDamis@LouisDamisPhD.com  \nAbstract: This workshop focuses on the application of clinical hypnosis in the Integration and Self-Development phases of trauma recovery. Once adequate stabilization has been attained\, the client is now equipped with the tools and sense of empowerment needed to process\, master\, and integrate traumatic memories effectively. This workshop will address the use of clinical hypnosis for controlled uncovering as required and transformation of traumatic memories. Use of memory reconsolidation update techniques will also be taught. This may also include aspects of ego-state therapy and integration of introjects. As trauma and neglect disrupt one’s identity and sense of self\, therapy now needs to facilitate and guide the self-development that neglect prevented. This is also a period of meaning-making and relational development that can be facilitated with clinical hypnosis.  Much of this session will be dedicated to training techniques\, with an emphasis on demonstrations that will be recorded for distribution to participants. It is recommended that participants complete the Trauma I (Stabilization) and Trauma II (Attachment Repair) workshops before attending this workshop.  \nLearning Objectives:   \n\nParticipants will be able to describe the three components of the trauma treatment integration phase. \n\n\nParticipants will be able to describe and apply two strategies for processing and modifying traumatic memories. \n\n\nParticipants will be able to explain the importance of the self-development phase of trauma treatment. \n\n\nParticipants will be able to describe and apply attachment repair strategies for fostering constructive interpersonal relationships.

SUMMARY:2025 Comprehensive Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy Training (Dr. Yapko & Associates)
DESCRIPTION:Organization:  Dr. Yapko & Associates \nWebsite: https://yapko.com/hypnosis-training/ \nEvent Title: 2025 Comprehensive Clinical Hypnosis and Strategic Psychotherapy Training \nDates: 04/02/2025-04/06/2025\, 4/28/25-5/4/2025\, 6/4/2025-6/8/2025 \nLocation: Virtual \nCE: 60 \nContact: Michael Yapko\, michael@yapko.com \nAbstract:\nThis comprehensive training program is divided into three phases\, each progressively building in intensity and complexity as we go along. Michael’s teaching is highly structured and organized. The course is entirely virtual (online) and takes place over time to allow the natural process of learning to occur with experiential learning in between phases. There is no substitute for the opportunity to take the skills back to your practice and have your own personal experience with your clients as you begin to integrate the newly learned skills. Then\, you can come back to the next phase of the training with relevant questions and experiences. In every phase\, the emphasis is on practicality: What are the practical implications of concepts being taught\, and what are the techniques derived from these insights? How can they be incorporated into your sessions? There will be structured practice sessions in every phase; after all\, the primary goal of the entire training is to give you the tools needed to integrate hypnosis skillfully into your clinical practice. There will be didactic presentations on key topics\, video demonstrations\, and ample opportunity for addressing questions and discussing the finer points of presented material. \nCourse Brochure: 60-Hr_Comprehensive_Hypnosis_Training_Brochure
