SUMMARY:Advanced Workshop: Integrating Clinical Hypnosis and EMDR
DESCRIPTION:Integrating Clinical Hypnosis and EMDR (ASCH Virtual Advanced Workshop)\nDate and Time (Eastern): June 20th – 11AM ET – 6PM ET \nBreaks will be from 12:30-12:45PM ET; 2:15-2:45PM ET; and 4:15-4:30PM ET \nRegister here \nLocation: Virtual / Zoom \nCE Hours: 6.5 hours \nThis one-day workshop examines practical strategies for integrating clinical hypnosis across all eight phases of EMDR therapy. Participants will be introduced to a variety of hypnotic interventions\, with clear guidance on when and how to apply them within the EMDR framework. Case examples will demonstrate real-world integration and clinical decision-making. \nBy the end of this workshop\, participants will be able to: \n\nList benefits of integrating clinical hypnosis with EMDR Therapy.\nDescribe how clinical hypnosis and EMDR can be effectively integrated in practice.\nIdentify clinical hypnosis techniques that can be applied in each of EMDR’s 8 Phases.\nCreate a treatment plan incorporating EMDR and clinical hypnosis for a hypothetical client.\nIdentify ethical considerations in integrating clinical hypnosis and EMDR therapy.\n\nSpeaker/Instructor : Brittany Meredith\, Registered Psychologist (AB) \nBrittany provides counselling to individuals impacted by trauma\, complex trauma\, grief\, anxiety\, body-focused repetitive behaviours\, and pain in her private practice. In addition to counselling\, Brittany is an EMDR Consultant and training coach\, ASCH Certified in Clinical Hypnosis\, and provides supervision to Registered Provisional Psychologists\, and counselling students. Having practiced clinical hypnosis since 2013\, and EMDR since 2016\, Brittany is excited to share about integrating these powerful modalities. In addition to counselling\, Brittany is the primary handler for Lions Foundation of Canada Facility Support Program Dog Guide\, Indus (pictured here)\, who works in Power Psychology’s offices.
