SUMMARY:Hypnosis and Performance Enhancement (FSCH)
DESCRIPTION:Organization: The Florida Society of Clinical Hypnosis  \nWebsite: https://www.fsch.org/workshops  \nEvent Title: “Hypnosis and Performance Enhancement”  \nAgenda:  Workshop_Schedule \nDates: 11/07/2026 – 11/08/2026  \nLocation: Virtual workshop  \nCE: 12  \nContact : Marie Wilson\, Administrator mariefsch@aol.com  \nDescription: If your clients are trying to get better at something — athletes\, performers\, writers\, students\, executives\, or anyone trying to find real balance between work and life — you’ve likely seen how closely their mental state and their performance are tied together. Anxiety\, frustration\, low mood\, and burnout aren’t separate from performance struggles — they’re often woven into the same experience\, showing up at exactly the moments performance is most on the line. Research shows depression affects 6–34% of high-level athletes\, with anxiety and burnout especially common during transitions\, injuries\, or high-pressure events. Awareness of this connection has grown\, but many clinicians still lack concrete tools to work with it directly.  \nIn the spirit of “skills\, not pills” (Dr. Michael Yapko)\, this workshop gives clinicians who use hypnosis a set of hypnotically informed strategies for drawing out clients’ best performance — on stage\, on the playing field\, or in the office — while working directly with the mental health dynamics woven into that process.  \nLearning Objectives:    \n\nDescribe at least 3 examples of how hypnotic techniques have been used to enhance performance.  Examples will be drawn from sports\, performing arts or workplace settings.  \n\n\nState at least 3 key components to a process-oriented approach to performance enhancement. \n\n\nDefine performance psychology and give 3 representative examples of cases that might benefit from the guidance of a performance psychologist/therapist.  \n\n\nGive at least 5 examples of improvement targets that clients might want to work on. \n\n\nDefine a moment of “Pause-itivity” and its role in the process of performance enhancement. \n\n\nDescribe at least three ways to experience mindfulness in the process of performance enhancement. \n\n\nDescribe at least three ways to experience visualization in the process of performance enhancement. \n\n\nGive at least three examples of positive coaching/positive expectancies in the process of performance enhancement. \n\nSpeaker info: Dana Lebo\, PhD Dana_Lebo__PhD_Bio \n  \n

SUMMARY:Utilizing Hypnosis in the Negotiation of Intimacy and Boundaries in the Wake of Trauma: The Shaming of Love In Psychotherapy\, a Single-case Study (GPSCH)
DESCRIPTION:Organization: Greater Philadelphia Society of Clinical Hypnosis  \nWebsite: https://gpsch.org/  \nEvent Title:  Utilizing Hypnosis in the Negotiation of Intimacy and Boundaries in the Wake of Trauma: The Shaming of Love In Psychotherapy\, a Single-case Study  \nAgenda:  Chefetz_Timed_Agenda  \nDates: November 8\, 2026\, 9:30AM – 1PM ET \nLocation: Virtual/Webinar  \nCE: 3  \nContact :  Marcy Nadel\, marcy1116@aol.com  \nDescription: Using a single-case style of presentation\, concepts related to hypnosis\, dissociation\, dissociative disorders\, trauma\, love\, attachment\, erotic and traumatic transference and countertransference\, and therapeutic action will be introduced and discussed.   \nLearning Objectives: At the end of this learning experience\, participants will be able to:  \n 1)     Describe how the notion of Ferenczi’s mutual analysis and Sullivan’s participant-observer coincides with Spiegel et al.’s understanding of hypnosis for the hypnotist as that of participant and facilitator (Spiegel et al.\, 2019)  \n2)     Describe how hypnotic interventions for avoidant and disorganized-disoriented attachment address basic dissociative adaptations related to affect dysregulation and relational disruptions typical in dissociative identity disorder (Spiegel\, 2016)  \n3)     Describe how exploration of the patient’s feelings of non-erotic love for the therapist can become a subject of curiosity and exploration rather than a feared erotization in the transference that needs to be avoided (Stefana\, 2017)  \nSpeaker info: Richard A.
