SUMMARY:ASCH Level 1 Virtual Clinical Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Register Here\nOverview\n\n\nLevel 1 introduces licensed healthcare professionals to the foundational principles and skills of clinical hypnosis. Participants learn how to conduct hypnotic inductions\, deliver therapeutic suggestions\, and begin applying hypnosis ethically and effectively in clinical practice through instruction\, demonstration\, and supervised practice. \nImportant Notes\n\n\nParticipants are expected to attend all days.\nDetailed workshop schedules\, faculty information\, and materials will be available online one–two weeks prior to the start date.\nWorkshop materials will be provided in electronic form only.\nLevel 1 must be completed prior to taking Level 2. These are not combined courses.\nApproximately one week before the workshop\, registered participants will receive a link to a private webpage with handouts and resource materials.\nLevel 1 and Level 2 participants can earn approximately 20-22 CE hours (see accreditation statement at the end of this page)\n\n\nClinical Workshop – Level 1\nThe Level 1 workshop\, the first part of a series of workshops in the certification program for clinical hypnosis\, is intended for licensed health professionals including physicians\, nurses\, psychologists\, dentists\, counselors\, social workers\, and those in related fields. A diverse faculty from a range of health disciplines will teach the principles and process of hypnotic inductions\, suggestions\, and treatment. The workshop is a mix of didactic presentations\, demonstrations\, experiential exercises\, and faculty-led small group practice tailored to the specific needs and learning styles of each participant. At the conclusion of the workshop\, participants will have been taught the basic skills required to utilize clinical hypnosis and begin to apply it to their practice. \nAdvantages\n\nRapidly establish rapport and the hypnotic relationship across developmental ages\nFacilitate change\, ego-strengthen\, and reduce impediments to change\nCost-effective\, collaborative\, person-centered treatment\nEmpower clients and patients to build skills for better health\nLearn a highly creative\, broad-ranging technique for use in integrative medicine\n\nLevel 1 Course Chair \n\nBrittany Meredith\, Registered Psychologist (AB) \nBrittany provides counselling to individuals impacted by trauma\, complex trauma\, grief\, anxiety\, body-focused repetitive behaviours\, and pain in her private practice. In addition to counselling\, Brittany is an EMDR Consultant and training coach\, ASCH Certified in Clinical Hypnosis\, and provides supervision to Registered Provisional Psychologists\, and counselling students. Having practiced clinical hypnosis since 2013\, and EMDR since 2016\, Brittany is excited to share about integrating these powerful modalities. In addition to counselling\, Brittany is the primary handler for Lions Foundation of Canada Facility Support Program Dog Guide\, Indus (pictured here)\, who works in Power Psychology’s offices.
