SUMMARY:ASCH Virtual Clinical Workshop Level 1
DESCRIPTION:Overview\n\n\nLevel 1 introduces licensed healthcare professionals to the foundational principles and skills of clinical hypnosis. Participants learn how to conduct hypnotic inductions\, deliver therapeutic suggestions\, and begin applying hypnosis ethically and effectively in clinical practice through instruction\, demonstration\, and supervised practice. \nImportant Notes\n\n\nParticipants are expected to attend all days.\nDetailed workshop schedules\, faculty information\, and materials will be available online one–two weeks prior to the start date.\nWorkshop materials will be provided in electronic form only.\nLevel 1 must be completed prior to taking Level 2. These are not combined courses.\nApproximately one week before the workshop\, registered participants will receive a link to a private webpage with handouts and resource materials.\nLevel 1 and Level 2 participants can earn approximately 20-22 CE hours (see accreditation statement at the end of this page)\n\n\nClinical Workshop – Level 1 –  This session is full. You can join the waitlist here \nThe Level 1 workshop\, the first part of a series of workshops in the certification program for clinical hypnosis\, is intended for licensed health professionals including physicians\, nurses\, psychologists\, dentists\, counselors\, social workers\, and those in related fields. A diverse faculty from a range of health disciplines will teach the principles and process of hypnotic inductions\, suggestions\, and treatment. The workshop is a mix of didactic presentations\, demonstrations\, experiential exercises\, and faculty-led small group practice tailored to the specific needs and learning styles of each participant. DESCRIPTION:Register Here\n\nLevel 2 Information\nThe second step in certification training is to strengthen skills\, strategies\, and applications of clinical hypnosis. Part one taught “how to” do clinical hypnosis\, and part two builds on this skill set and refines and furthers development to add the when\, why\, and where to the “how-to”. \nAdvantages\n\nIntroduction to a wider range of topics on the utility of clinical hypnosis\n(e.g.\, Pain Management; Anxiety and Sleep Disorders; Habit Disorders).\nLearn more techniques for the creative use of the language of suggestion to facilitate change.\nLearn specific tools (complex inductions and intensification techniques) for specific populations (children).\nMore practice with the feedback of expert faculty.\n\nThe Level 2 workshop increases skills and builds confidence in the use of hypnosis. It prepares the workshop participant to move on to the Advanced Workshop level and Individual Consultation with a strong basis of skills and understanding of the principles and practice of clinical hypnosis. \n\nContinuing Education Hours\nOnline attendance\, full engagement\, and completion of a pre-test\, post-test\, and daily program evaluations are required for a certificate of completion. He is a Past President of the Florida and Washington DC Societies of Clinical Hypnosis and is currently the President of the ASCH. He has taught hypnosis for over 25 years for the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis\, the Florida Society of Clinical Hypnosis\, and the Society of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis.
