SUMMARY:Hypnosis for Trauma III: Integration and Self-Development (Integrative Health Psychology\, PA)
DESCRIPTION:Organization: Integrative Health Psychology\, PA \nWebsite: www.LouisDamisPhD.com  \nEvent Title: Hypnosis for Trauma III: Integration and Self-Development  \nAgenda:  Agenda_Hypnosis_for_Trauma_III_Damis \nDates: 09/28/2025 \nLocation: Virtual \nCE: 5 \nSpeaker & Contact: Louis Damis\, Ph.D. DrDamis@LouisDamisPhD.com  \nAbstract: This workshop focuses on the application of clinical hypnosis in the Integration and Self-Development phases of trauma recovery. Once adequate stabilization has been attained\, the client is now equipped with the tools and sense of empowerment needed to process\, master\, and integrate traumatic memories effectively. This workshop will address the use of clinical hypnosis for controlled uncovering as required and transformation of traumatic memories. Use of memory reconsolidation update techniques will also be taught. This may also include aspects of ego-state therapy and integration of introjects. As trauma and neglect disrupt one’s identity and sense of self\, therapy now needs to facilitate and guide the self-development that neglect prevented. This is also a period of meaning-making and relational development that can be facilitated with clinical hypnosis.  Much of this session will be dedicated to training techniques\, with an emphasis on demonstrations that will be recorded for distribution to participants. It is recommended that participants complete the Trauma I (Stabilization) and Trauma II (Attachment Repair) workshops before attending this workshop.  \nLearning Objectives:   \n\nParticipants will be able to describe the three components of the trauma treatment integration phase. \n\n\nParticipants will be able to describe and apply two strategies for processing and modifying traumatic memories. \n\n\nParticipants will be able to explain the importance of the self-development phase of trauma treatment. \n\n\nParticipants will be able to describe and apply attachment repair strategies for fostering constructive interpersonal relationships.
