Michael D. Yapko, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist in private practice residing near San Diego. Michael is the author of sixteen books, including the leading hypnosis text, Trancework: An Introduction to the Practice of Clinical Hypnosis (5th ed.) as well as The Discriminating Therapist and Mindfulness and Hypnosis. Michael conducts intensive hypnosis training programs around the world, having been invited to teach in more than 30 countries across six continents. He is a Fellow of ASCH and has received lifetime achievement awards from The International Society of Hypnosis, the American Psychological Association (Div. 30), and The Milton Erickson Foundation.
