Another Way to Look at and to See Our Patients and Clients and Each Other and, Perhaps, Ourselves
Presenter: Harvey Zarren, MD, FACC
Via Zoom
Relieving the suffering of another human being, the essential work of all healthcare practitioners, cannot be merely formulaic. Such work must be grounded in knowledge and experience and is always optimized with the creative application of all that a practitioner brings to an experience. Essential is the relationship between the practitioner and the recipient of the practice. In a crisis setting, such as cardiac arrest, the relationship might be established with the tone of voice, the words, the energy, and the quick, assured action of a practitioner. In the utilization of Clinical Hypnosis, the establishment of a relationship can usually be more thorough, more mindful, and more fully and creatively developed.
In this two-hour workshop, Zarren will offer information on human biology: its design that always works towards healing; its wholeness, which means physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and social distinctions do not exist in reality in our design; and its amazing complexity that can respond positively to creatively practiced tools such as clinical hypnosis. He will offer an approach focused on placing healing relationships in the center of practice for the benefit of both patient/client and practitioner. The information and tools can be used in all relationships, and personally when needed.
